Cory McAboy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Cory currently serves as the CTO at Rapptr Labs, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, Cory worked as the Director of Engineering at Rapptr Labs from January 2020 to August 2021. Before that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at the same company from January 2019 to January 2020.
Before joining Rapptr Labs, Cory worked at ADP, starting as a Senior Product Manager from October 2016 to January 2019. During their time at ADP, they built the first tax self-service tool for the company's small business product, which aimed to reduce call volume and tax errors, leading to lower costs and higher customer retention.
Cory also holds an MBA from Emory University Goizueta Business School, where they were an MBA Candidate from 2014 to 2016. Cory gained further experience at ADP as an MBA Strategy Intern in 2015, where they worked on a business campaign to automate jurisdiction processes and improve customer satisfaction through data analysis.
Prior to their roles in the technology and business sectors, Cory worked at Cerner Corporation as a Technology Architect. Cory was involved in various projects, such as improving Cerner's Read Only solution, designing a disaster recovery strategy, and redesigning Cerner's local data solution to save hosting organization costs.
Cory's early career includes an internship at Devon Energy in 2007.
Cory McAboy completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Emory University's Goizueta Business School from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2008, Cory obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University. During the same period, Cory also attended Shawnee High School but did not acquire a specific degree or field of study. Additionally, Cory pursued a Frontend / React program at Udacity from an unspecified start year until 2017.
