Alexandra Guernon has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Alexandra started their career as a researcher at Union College and later worked as an intern in the Strategic and Business Planning department at NYISO. Alexandra then transitioned into engineering roles as an Engineer I and II at Electric Boat, where they were responsible for system design activities for the development of a new US Navy submarine. Alexandra then worked at MITRE as a mechanical engineer and later as a Group Leader.
Their product management career began at Wayfair, where they worked as a Product Manager responsible for the internal software product used to generate cost estimates for over 30 million products sold by the company. Alexandra developed a 3-year strategic roadmap to meet business objectives and prioritize projects. Alexandra then moved to Tripadvisor as a Senior Product Manager responsible for the Sponsored Placements advertisement product for Hoteliers, generating $40 million per year. After a year, they were promoted.
In 2020, they joined Homesite Insurance as a Product Manager responsible for the omnichannel service experience for commercial business customers and insurance agents, including the online self-service platform and call center. Alexandra developed the product strategy and two-year roadmap with buy-in and support from senior leadership.
Currently, they are working at Raptive as a Director of Product Management, responsible for developing and driving the product strategy to meet business objectives. Alexandra was recently promoted to Senior Director.
Alexandra Guernon obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Bioengineering from Union College in 2010. In 2008, they studied at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Alexandra then earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Tufts University from 2013 to 2015. Alexandra also obtained a Fundamentals of Engineering certification from the New York State Educational Department Division of Professional Licensing Services in 2010. Additionally, they hold a Secret Security Clearance from the US Government. Recently, they obtained PMC Level I and II certifications from Pragmatic Institute in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
