Raquel Allegra
Sam Hicks started their work experience at PVH Corp. in 2009 as an Idea Design Assistant and later became an Assistant Designer. They then joined Raquel Allegra in 2015 as a Fashion Designer, and eventually became a Senior Designer - Womenswear Senior Designer. Recently, Hicks has been serving as the Chief Designer - Skirt Designer at Raquel Allegra.
Sam Hicks earned a Master's degree in Crafts/Craft Design, Folk Art and Artisanry from Pratt Institute, spanning from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, Sam completed a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design Major at National Taiwan University. In the earlier years, from 2001 to 2003, Sam attended William Bradford Community College, but the specific degree and field of study for that period is not provided.

Raquel Allegra is a California-based apparel & fashion company Raquel’s design career grew naturally with the origination of a full length webbed cocoon shapes evolved out of laborious experiments with oversized vintage tee’s recycled from the Los Angeles County Prison System. She continues to be inspired to create pieces imbued with Elevated Comfort for strong women of all ages and different walks of life. The RAQUEL ALLEGRA label is carried in more than 200 retail locations around the globe. In June 2016 she opened her first flagship store in Los Angeles. Each one of our tie dye pieces is individually hand tied and dyed locally in Los . Angeles. We are also proud to support the CanopyStyle campaign to protect ancient and endangered forests during our fabric choice selection.
