Rarebase
Christian Markopoulos is a Senior Scientist at Transcripta Bio, having joined the company in October 2022. Prior to this role, Christian served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Rush University Medical Center from October 2021 to October 2022, focusing on disease modeling using induced pluripotent stem cells to study phenotypes at multiple levels. From August 2015 to November 2021, Christian conducted research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Rockefeller University, where extensive genetic engineering work in human embryonic stem cells was performed to explore early human development and disease mechanisms. Christian holds a PhD in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology from The University of Bonn, obtained in 2015, and a Diplom in Molecular Genetics from the same institution, completed in 2007.
