Abdel Sallam Qatshan

Abdel Sallam Qatshan has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Abdel Sallam is currently the Co-Founder/CEO of Raseed Invest, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Jude Tech Ventures from 2014 to 2020, where they served as the Founder and later as a Senior Consultant. From August 2018 to January 2020, Abdel was an Artificial Intelligence Fellow at Insight Data Science. Abdel Sallam also worked at MASIC as the Director of Direct Investments from August 2015 to May 2017. Before that, they were a Senior Consultant at Thales/TK-Labs from May 2014 to August 2016. From February 2011 to April 2014, Abdel worked at Swicorp as the Director of Principal Investments. Abdel Sallam started their career at Motorola Solutions as a Senior Staff Software Engineer from September 1999 to May 2005. Abdel Sallam Qatshan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with concentrations in Digital Signal Processing and Neural Networks from the University of Florida.

In addition to their formal education, Abdel Sallam Qatshan has also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed the Deep Learning Specialization consisting of 5 courses offered by deeplearning.ai. Moreover, in 2019, they participated in the US NSF-I-Corps Customer Discovery program, organized by Polsky Center I-Corps Program. In 2020, they also completed The New Ventures Challenge organized by Polsky Center at the University of Chicago.
