User Experience Researcher at Raspberry Pi Foundation

Jessica Hill has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of user experience research. Jessica is currently working as a User Experience Researcher at the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Prior to that, Jessica worked as a UX Research Consultant, where they trained teams in UX research and set up research systems for startups.

Jessica also held the role of a UX Research Consultant at Body Collective Group (Baby2Body), where they led a research project to improve customer acquisition and retention for the Baby2body App. Jessica conducted customer interviews, analyzed data, and made evidence-based recommendations to enhance the app.

Additionally, Jessica worked as a UX Research Consultant at Uncertainty Experts, where they led a research project to improve the usability and product market fit of their website and course platform. Jessica defined research objectives, conducted interviews and surveys, and analyzed data across multiple demographics.

Before their consultancy roles, Jessica was the Co-Founder and Head of User Experience at Rayday, where they contributed to the overall user experience and later served as a Senior User Researcher. Jessica also worked as a Curriculum Designer/Researcher at Lingumi, where they conducted complex analytics, designed new AI-powered courses, and led a research program on childhood language acquisition.

Prior to their roles in the tech industry, Jessica gained experience as a Learning Engineer Intern at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, where they focused on the Reach Every Reader program. Jessica also worked as a Leadership and Development Associate and Curriculum Fellow at Bridge, where they redesigned training courses, authored content, and developed e-learning modules.

Jessica started their career as a Research Assistant at the Center for Translational Cognitive Neuroscience at BU.

Jessica Hill has a diverse education history. Jessica started their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology from the University of Exeter in 2014. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Anatomy and Neurobiology from the Boston University School of Medicine between 2014 and 2016. In 2017, Jessica attended General Assembly, where they studied User Experience Design. More recently, from 2019 to 2020, they attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education, specializing in Technology, Innovation & Education, and obtained a Master of Education (Ed.M.) degree.
