Deepak Kapoor

Deepak Kapoor is the EVP of DaaS Engineering at RateGain. Deepak has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in enterprise architecture, big data, and cloud computing.

Deepak started their career at Ignited Minds, a technology startup, where they created an in-browser modeling tool for process diagrams, UML, and other modeling. The tool heavily used Ajax and was built using Ruby-on-Rails. It was one of the first applications to be hosted on the cloud.

After Ignited Minds, Deepak joined Kronos as the Lead Big Data Architect. In this role, they were responsible for building the next generation on-cloud analytics product.

In February 2014, Deepak joined Accenture as a Senior Manager (Big-Data Architect). Deepak worked there for 18 months before moving to Capgemini in February 2011 as a Consulting Manager (Architecture and Technology). Deepak spent three years at Capgemini, during which time they helped clients migrate their legacy applications to the cloud.

In April 2018, Deepak joined Maersk Global Service Centres as the General Manager of Engineering. Deepak spent a year and a half at Maersk before joining RateGain as the EVP Head of Engineering in October 2019.

Deepak Kapoor has a BE in Mechanical from YMCA Instt. Of Engineering and Kendriya Vidyalaya. Deepak also has certification from Microsoft in Designing and Implementing Big Data Analytics Solutions, IBM in IBM Certified for OOA/OOD, Oracle in Oracle Certified for PL/SQL, Sun Microsystems in Sun Certified Business Components Developer, Sun Certified Enterprise Architect, and Sun Certified Java Developer. Finally, they have certification from The Open Group in TOGAF9.

Their manager is Bhanu Chopra, Chairman & Managing Director. They are on a team with Vinay Varma - SVP & GM, AirGain, Kamesh Shukla - EVP, APAC Sales, and Chinmai Sharma - President, Americas.
