Rachel Lauer

Rachel Lauer is a Mechanical Engineer with a comprehensive background in manufacturing and robotics. Currently serving as Manufacturing Engineer I at Raven Industries since May 2023, Rachel previously held the position of Manufacturing Engineering Intern. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the SD Mines 3D Printing Club from August 2022 to May 2023, after a tenure as Vice President during the 2020-2021 school year. Additional roles include an Engineering Intern at Caterpillar Inc. from April 2021 to August 2022 and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Robotics and Computational Kinematics Innovation Lab at SDSM&T from September 2020 to May 2021. Notable contributions as Lab Manager for the McLaury Building Robotics Labs involved oversight of safety and equipment for multiple robotics clubs from August 2019 to May 2021. Rachel's educational background includes a Mechanical Engineering degree from South Dakota Mines, completed in 2023, following studies at Buffalo Senior High School from 2013 to 2017.
