José Manuel Ferrete Benítez has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2009. In 2009, they completed an internship in System Technician at the Universidad de Sevilla. In 2010, they worked as a System Administrator at Aincos U.E.D., where they were responsible for implanting and configuring a domain control with Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS. In 2011, they began working at Emergya as an Internship in Linux System Administration, where they were responsible for deploying apps with Tomcat and JBOSS, managing MySQL databases, and performing shell scripting. Later that year, they began working at Unience as a Linux System Administrator & Software Developer, where they were responsible for designing and managing the infrastructure using Linux and Open Source tools, implanting AWS Opsworks and Vagrant with Chef, and virtualizing servers with KVM, Xen, and LXC with auto provision. In 2016, they began working at Finect as a Project Lead & Infrastructure Manager, where they were responsible for coordinating the development, designing the main infrastructure, and participating in the building of the main functionality using Linux and Open Source tools. Finally, in 2017 they began working at RavenPack as a Workflow Solutions Operations Manager, Technical Lead, and Linux System Administrator & DevOps.

José Manuel Ferrete Benítez completed a Grado Medio en Explotación de Sistemas Informáticos from I.E.S. Gonzalo Nazareno in 2007-2009, with a field of study in Microinformática, redes, sistemas. José Manuel then completed a Grado Superior en Administración de Sistemas Informáticos from I.E.S. Gonzalo Nazareno in 2009-2011, with a field of study in Servicios, redes, sistemas, seguridad. Additionally, they obtained certifications in JavaScript Road Trip Part 3 and Shaping Up With Angular JS from Code School.
