Lead Penetration Tester at Raxis

Scottie Cole has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. In 1998, they began their career as a Firefighter at the Navarre Beach Fire Department. Scottie then worked as a Deputy at the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they joined AppRiver as a Network & Security Administrator, where they were responsible for managing multiple data centers and offices worldwide, discovering and eliminating system vulnerabilities, and developing security protocols. In 2019, they started Cole IT Services, where they served as Owner and CEO. In 2020, they took on the role of Lead Penetration Tester at Raxis and Vice President of Technology at Sentibox.

Scottie Cole is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology - Network Systems Operations at the University of West Florida. In 2013, they completed a CCNA Security certification through Cisco Systems - self study. From 2008 to 2010, they attended Pensacola Junior College and studied Information Assurance. From 2000 to 2004, they attended the University of West Florida and studied Communications. In 2001 to 2002, they attended Okaloosa-Walton Community College and completed a Police Academy with a focus on Law Enforcement Standards. In 2010, Scottie obtained a CISSP certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). In the same year, they also obtained a GPEN - Ethical Hacker certification from GIAC and a CCNA Security certification from Cisco.
