Vasilis Kourakos

Vasilis Kourakos has extensive experience in mechanical engineering and design, currently serving as the Mechanical Systems Design Manager at Raycap since May 2020, after previously working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Product Design Engineer at BIC, focusing on CAD engineering design for injection molded plastic parts. Vasilis has also held leadership positions in R&D, including Hydraulics & Process R&D Manager at PCM, where responsibilities involved coordinating research activities and technical expertise. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, where research focused on Safety Relief Valves, complemented by a Research Master in Environmental and Applied Fluid Dynamics and a BEng and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics from the University of Patras, Greece.
