Scott Hazlett has worked in the software engineering industry since 2007. Scott began their career at TRIUMF (Canada's National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics) as a Beam Diagnostics Junior Electronics Developer, where they recommended and implemented PCB design improvements, authored a Linux server in C to manage multiple diagnostics devices via Ethernet, and reduced noise interference with analysis from Matlab, SPICE, and PROTEUS/ISIS. In 2007, they moved to Broadcom as a VoDSL Software Developer, scripting an update of the copyright headers of 500+ source files in ClearCase using Perl, sed, and sh, and working with customers to recreate bugs and code patches. In 2008, they remained at Broadcom as a VoDSL Software Developer, performing Wireshark traces of SIP calls and RTP audio streams, implementing functions in C to meet TR-104 and TR-069 data models, and presenting at design and code reviews of a project using NTP to achieve DECT compatibility. In 2009, they moved to PMC-Sierra as a Product Design Engineer, developing firmware in C for MIPS1004K-based Disk Controller including bootcode and memory tool, and performing Cadence/Palladium simulations and implementing VHDL/Verilog fixes. In 2013, they moved to Coanda Research and Development as a Junior System Administrator/Software Developer, where they designed and delivered a successful employee Sign-In Board for Android with LAMP backend, and collaborated to provide timely IT support to 3 locations, including VPN, VoIP, and ad-hoc scripts. In 2014, they moved to Amazon as a Software Development Engineer. In 2016, they moved to Twitch as a Software Development Engineer II and then Software Development Engineer. Scott is currently a Senior Backend Engineer at Mira Screen Signage.
Scott Hazlett graduated from The University of British Columbia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Engineering. Scott began their studies in 2006.
