Rahul Dutta, PhD

Rahul Dutta, PhD, has extensive work experience in the field of optical design and research. Rahul currently holds the position of Optical Design Engineer at Rayner since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked as an Optical Scientist at Johnson & Johnson Vision from October 2018 to September 2020.

Rahul also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidad de Murcia from August 2017 to September 2018. Earlier in their career, they held the roles of Project Researcher and Doctoral Researcher at the University of Eastern Finland, where they conducted research on various projects from July 2012 to November 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Summer Trainee at Oplatek Group Oy in August 2013.

Furthermore, Rahul has contributed as a Research Assistant at both the University of Eastern Finland and Tampere University of Technology from January 2012 to May 2012, and at the University of Eastern Finland from July 2011 to October 2011.

Rahul's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Optoelectronics from the University of Calcutta, which they completed between 2007 and 2010. Before entering their undergraduate studies, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics, also from the University of Calcutta, from 2004 to 2007.
