Sam Carter

Sam Carter is an accomplished professional in the ophthalmic industry with extensive experience in clinical planning, product specialization, and sales management. Since January 2018, Sam has served as the Head of Clinical Planning and Outcomes at Rayner, where responsibilities include managing clinical planning teams and supporting surgeons to enhance patient outcomes with advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs). Prior roles at Rayner encompassed the position of International Product Specialist, focusing on training and clinical support for Trifocal and Premium IOLs. Prior to Rayner, Sam held various positions, including Multifocal IOL Specialist at Lenstec UK and Sales Manager at Topcon GB Ltd and ZEISS Medical Technology. Sam holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Ulster University and a Master's degree in History and Politics from the University of Dundee.
