Elyssa Wenzel

Elyssa Wenzel is a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance, a position held since December 2021. Prior to this role, Wenzel served as an Attorney in the Bureau of Competition's Mergers I division at the Federal Trade Commission from September 2013 to December 2021, having previously interned at the same agency in the summer of 2012. Wenzel also gained experience as a Legal Intern in the Criminal Division's Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Justice and as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Patricia Broderick at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Wenzel holds a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, completed in 2013, and a Bachelor of Science in International Politics from Georgetown University, obtained in 2008. Additionally, Wenzel participated in a study abroad program focused on Arabic Language and Literature at The American University in Cairo from 2006 to 2007.
