Simon V has a strong background in cyber security and software engineering. Simon started their career at Imagination Technologies as a Pure Digital Test Engineer. Simon then moved on to MBDA, where they worked as a Graduate and Senior Software Engineer, gaining experience in different programming languages and tools. Simon also had a role in Systems Engineering, focused on technology management and road mapping. After that, Simon joined Xsilon as an Embedded Software Engineer and Embedded Security Architect, working on IoT and M2M technologies. Simon later joined Raytheon UK as a Cyber Security Researcher before becoming the Head of the Cyber Research Group. Simon has also attended the SANS Cyber Academy, where they graduated in 2nd place.

Simon V attended the University of Bristol from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science & Electronics, specializing in Computer Systems Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Simon also earned several certifications. In September 2015, they obtained the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), followed by the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) in October of the same year. Later, in September 2015, Simon achieved the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification. Most recently, in February 2018, they became an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
