Neil Schnepf

Writer, Narrative Designer, Assistant Team Lead at Razor Edge Games

Neil Schnepf has had a long and varied career in the creative industry. Starting in 2007, they worked as a freelance digital artist for both Calabash Animation and Bending Light. At Bending Light, they were responsible for researching thematic samples, producing photorealistic designs, optimizing workflow, assisting in market research, and developing automated subsurface scattering shader utility. In 2009, they worked as an Environment Artist/Designer/Writer for Forever Interactive LLC, and as a Freelance Digital Artist for Calabash Animation. In 2011, they were Lead Project Coordinator/Graphic Designer for FedEx Office. In 2014, they were Creative Lead, Designer, Writer, and Cofounder for Table Flip Board Games. In 2016, they were UI/UX Designer and Researcher for SUNBREAK GAMES. In 2020, they were Staff Writer, Designer, and Assistant Team Lead for Razor Edge Games, and Technical Writer for Microsoft. In 2022, they began working as a Technical Writer for Oracle, where they led, defined, and executed high-quality content, facilitated new ideas, tactics, and strategies related to storytelling, and content presentation.

Neil Schnepf's education history includes a Master of Science degree in Astrophysics from Clemson University, which they obtained between 1991 and 1993. Neil then attended The Art Institutes between 2004 and 2007, earning a BFA in Digital Art, Animation and 3D and Game Design; Animation. Most recently, they obtained a Certificate in Front-End Development with HTML, CSS & JavaScript from the University of Washington in 2018. Additionally, Neil has obtained numerous certifications from Lynda.com and Codecademy, including Word 2016: Creating Long Documents (2019), Learn SQL from Scratch (2018), Foundations of UX: Prototyping (2017), and User Experience Designer Learning Path (2017).
