Gabriel Oliveira

Gabriel Oliveira is an accomplished professional in the field of machine learning and robotics, currently serving as the Machine Learning Research Team Lead at Borealis AI since February 2019, after progressing through roles including Senior Machine Learning Researcher and Machine Learning Researcher. Prior to Borealis AI, Gabriel gained significant experience as a Doctoral Research Assistant at Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, Germany, from October 2014 to February 2019. Educational qualifications include a PhD in robotics and computer vision from The University of Freiburg, an MSc in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Vision and Robotics from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Science in Robotics and Computer Vision from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Gabriel also held various graduate teaching assistant positions at the University of Minnesota, where responsibilities included teaching programming and operating system concepts. Additionally, a technical software development scholarship was completed at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (FURG), further showcasing capabilities in software development.
