Simon Xing

Simon Xing, MBA, CFA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in market risk oversight and model governance. Currently serving as Director of Market Risk Oversight for Non-Trading Portfolios at RBC Capital Markets, Simon focuses on risk management across multiple investment sectors including insurance and private equity. Prior roles include Director of Market Risk Model Governance, where responsibilities encompassed regulatory capital oversight and model performance reporting, and Associate Director of Market Risk Reporting, enhancing analytics tools for senior management. Previously, Simon held various positions at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, contributing to total fund reporting and risk analysis, and gained foundational experience in derivatives operations and trading through earlier analyst roles. Simon holds an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a BBA from the University of Toronto.
