Mike Pyland is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in digital transformation and software development. As Chief Technology Officer at Recorded Books and RBmedia since January 2010, Mike led the creation and implementation of RBdigital, revolutionizing Recorded Books from a physical media company into a prominent digital distribution business. Previously, as Vice President of Software Development at Laureate Education, Mike managed a 30-member team to develop and roll out a comprehensive integrated systems environment. Mike also served as President of Pyland Development, focusing on IT services and delivering successful projects for UCLA. Additional roles include CIO at Intelligent Healthcare, IT Director at Virgin Records, and Applications Development Manager at UCLA, where Mike established key technical directions and managed various development initiatives.
