Jay Gocotano

Jay Gocotano has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting from 2011, Jay worked as a Hardwared Development Engineer at NCR Corporation, where they were involved in the design support of Intel-based motherboards and various POS product integration and qualification processes. From 2014 to 2015, Jay worked as an Electrical Design Engineer at Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd, focusing on the design and development of PCBA for modular printers, including schematic design, layout direction, and board bring-up.

Moving on, from 2016 to 2020, Jay held two roles at Lexmark. First, as a Card Functional Test Developer Engineer, they developed and designed automated card functional testers for Lexmark printer operator panels and controller cards. Additionally, they worked as a Hardware Development Engineer, collaborating on the design and development of PCBAs for Lexmark op-panels and controller boards. In both roles, Jay created design documentation, performed validation testing, and provided support for hardware and software issues.

In 2020, Jay worked as an Electronics engineer and programmer at a Truck company, and later from 2021 to 2022, as an Electronics Engineer at Cytiva. These roles involved utilizing their electronics engineering skills for various projects. Additionally, from 2020 to 2022, Jay worked as an Electronics Design Engineer at AFRY, contributing to electronics design projects.

Most recently, Jay worked as an Electronics Engineer at Ferroamp from April 2022 to August 2022. Jay'sresponsibilities included addressing challenges related to component shortage and identifying alternate components, testing them, and implementing design changes as needed.

Jay's current position is as an Electronics Design Engineer at RCO Security, starting in August 2022.

Jay Gocotano completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of San Carlos, from 2005 to 2010. Jay also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university during the same time period. In terms of additional certifications, Jay obtained a certification in "Learn to design your own Board Using Altium" from Udemy in July 2020. Jay also holds a Yellow Belt certification, although the institution and the specific month and year of attainment are not available.
