Newman Leech has extensive leadership experience in the financial and real estate sectors, currently serving as CEO of RE Capital since January 2021. Prior to this role, Newman held multiple executive positions at Geneva Management Group from 2000 to December 2020, including CEO and Group Managing Director, where management of proprietary real estate transactions and a portfolio of high net worth clients was key. Earlier experience includes serving as Director at Chis S.A. from 1998 to 2000, overseeing the investment and fiduciary portfolio, and holding the position of Financial Director & COO at Silky Personal Products (Pty) Ltd from 1992 to 1997, where Newman was a founding shareholder and contributed to the company's successful sale. Newman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Law from the University of the Witwatersrand, earned between 1987 and 1992.
