Matt Ellis

Matt Ellis is a highly experienced technical leader specializing in data platform architecture and design, currently serving as Senior Technical Lead at REA Group since January 2017. With a progressive career at REA spanning multiple roles, including Technical Lead and Lead Data Engineer, Matt has significantly contributed to the development of REA's Data Platform and Data Services, overseeing key initiatives such as the launch of the streaming data platform, Hydro. Prior experience includes software engineering roles at Odecee and Cancer Council Victoria, where Matt excelled in backend development, data warehousing, and reporting systems. Matt holds a Master of Information Technology from RMIT University, further complemented by certifications in business management and information technology.
