Reach Aotearoa
Vishaka Gunasekara is an experienced academic and researcher currently serving as a Public Policy Surveyor at Reach Aotearoa and as a Teaching Fellow at The University of Waikato, where responsibilities include teaching courses in management and leadership, as well as conducting qualitative research on Women on Boards of Directors as part of a PhD candidature. Previous roles include research fellowships, lecturing, and examination supervision across various institutions, including Monash University and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Vishaka has a strong background in economics, demonstrated through teaching and research in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and labour economics, and possesses expertise in statistical analysis and various qualitative research methodologies. Educational qualifications include advanced degrees in Development Economics and International Development & Cooperation, complemented by a PhD in Strategic Management in progress.
