Emily Marchese

Emily Marchese currently serves as the Executive Director of Reach Out and Read of Greater New York, a position held since December 2019. In this role, Marchese oversees a research-driven program that provides children with books during pediatric checkups to promote literacy in families. Prior to this, Marchese was the Executive Director of Roots & Wings Foundation from April 2015 to December 2019, and held several leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, including Director of Foundations and Corporations at Student Sponsor Partners and Grants Manager at CancerCare. Marchese's professional background demonstrates extensive experience in grant management, fundraising, and program development across various educational and health-focused nonprofits. Marchese holds an MSc in Gender Studies from the London School of Economics and a BA in English from Cornell University.
