Rodney Alvarez has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rodney began their career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida, where they taught courses on Latin American History and developed processes for establishing the university's Public History internship program.
After their tenure in academia, Rodney joined Fast Search & Transfer (now Microsoft) as the Director of University Programs, where they developed a university relations program and managed full-cycle recruiting for entry-level hires.
Following this, Rodney worked at BP as a University Relations and Recruitment specialist, where they provided insights into selection decisions and ensured optimal matching of intake to the needs of hiring businesses.
Rodney then transitioned to Attivio, a leading provider of data discovery accelerators and strategic search-based applications, where they held roles such as Sr. Director of Recruitment & Human Resources and HR Manager & Recruiter.
In 2016, Rodney joined Celtra, Inc. as the Vice President of Talent Management, where they empowered agencies, media suppliers, and brand leaders with creative technology for data-driven brand display advertising.
Most recently, Rodney served as the Chief Operating Officer at reacHIRE, a company focused on bringing women back to the workforce through gender diversity programs.
