Darren Evans

Darren Evans has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Darren began their career as a Sports Worker & Leisure Assistant at Knowsley Council in 2001, where they worked until 2006. From there, they moved on to Tubedale Communications Ltd as an IT Administrator, supporting website management and improving efficiency through database and spreadsheet applications. In 2009, Darren joined the Department for Work and Pensions as an Executive Officer, assisting health benefit claimants in returning to the labor market by focusing on their well-being. In 2011, they joined Reach plc as a Producer for LocalMole.co.uk, managing the business directory's daily operations and implementing improvements that increased monthly visitors. Over the years, they took on various roles within Reach plc, including Business Support Manager, Digital Commercial Project Manager, Digital Commercial Development Manager, and Regional Commercial Systems Manager. Darren'sresponsibilities involved coordinating teams, identifying commercial opportunities, managing projects, and reviewing the competitor landscape to ensure business success. Since 2019, they have been serving as the Commercial Lead @ InYourArea.co.uk, and in 2023, they will take on the role of Head of Commercial - InYourArea.

Darren Evans completed the L5 Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship at the Chartered Management Institute from 2021 to 2023. Before that, they received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Lancaster University from 2006 to 2009. Darren also attended Knowsley Community College from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computing. Prior to college, Darren Evans attended Brookfield High School from 1996 to 2001.
