David Huntley

Chief Reporter For Sunderland And County Durham at Reach

David Huntley has a diverse work experience in journalism. David started their career as a Reporter with Johnston Press in 2014, where they gained experience in producing articles for online and print. David then worked as a Reporter/Video Journalist for North News and Pictures Ltd, supplying stories and videos to national and local newspapers. In 2015, they had a brief work experience as a Reporter with Islington Tribune. From 2016 to 2021, David held various roles at Reach plc, including Chief Reporter, Court Reporter, and Senior Journalist, covering a wide range of news stories. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they also had a three-month secondment with Reach plc, working as part of a team to launch new Live sites. Overall, David's work experience showcases their skills in multimedia journalism, court reporting, and breaking news coverage.

David Huntley attended Darlington College from 2014 to 2015 where they studied NCTJ Journalism (Gold Standard). Prior to this, from 2008 to 2011, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in English and Creative Writing at the University of Sunderland.
