Desmond Tuiyot

Desmond Tuiyot has been working in the technology industry since 2020. Desmond started their career as a Front-end Developer at Ho Tung Visualization Laboratory, where they worked on the Virtual Galapagos, a React web app to help young children learn about science through the lens of the Galapagos Islands. In this role, they designed and developed a new module including features like interactive videos, a custom paint app, drag and drop interface, as well as a custom audio player. Desmond also analyzed page performance and applied optimization techniques like lazy loading and image compression to improve performance metrics. In 2021, Desmond Tuiyot began working as a Frontend Engineer at Ready.net.

Desmond Tuiyot completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Colgate University between 2016 and 2020. In 2017 and 2018, they earned a Full Stack Development Certificate from freeCodeCamp in Computer Software Engineering. Desmond also attended MHSK between 2011 and 2014. Additionally, Desmond has obtained four certifications from LinkedIn in 2021, including JavaScript: Classes, JavaScript: Closures, React.js Essential Training, and Node.js Essential Training.
