Kel Guerin

Kel Guerin is the CIO and Founder of READY Robotics. Kel has also served as the Co-Founder, Chief Innovation Officer, and Chief Technology Officer of the company. READY Robotics is a start-up focused on creating unique solutions that remove the barriers faced by small manufacturers when adopting robotic automation.

Previously, Kel Guerin worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Candidate at Johns Hopkins University. There, they focused on adaptive and modular industrial robotic systems for small manufacturers, as well as novel easy-to-use programming software for robotic systems. This included mechanical and software design, systems integration, fabrication, testing, and validation at on-site locations. Kel Guerin also focused on novel surgical interfaces, human computer interaction and industrial robotic systems for small manufacturers during their time at Johns Hopkins University.

Before working at Johns Hopkins University, Kel Guerin was a Robotics Engineer at the National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC). There, they developed novel systems for robotic mining and agriculture.

Kel Guerin has also worked as an Engineer at Astrobotic Technology, Inc., where they were the Optics Lead for a robotic lunar mission to explore and collect high definition imagery of the Apollo 11 landing site.

Kel Guerin has a Ph.D. in Robotics from The Johns Hopkins University, an Electrical Engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Optical Science and Engineering degree from the University of Arizona.
