Hugo Barreca

Hugo Barreca is currently an advisor at Real.org, but they have held many other positions in the past. Hugo was the CFO of Lambda Solutions from January 2002 to December 2007, and was responsible for inventing, designing, and manufacturing laser-based scientific instruments. Hugo then became the CFO of Proclivity Systems, Inc. from January 2006 to December 2011, where they were a senior advisor and oversaw equity raises, audits, investor and board relations, contracts, and intellectual property. Before that, they were the CFO of Knowledge Strategies Group from January 1998 to December 2001, where they developed the legal and financial infrastructure of a fast-growing and profitable web design and hosting firm. Hugo has also been a manager of operations for Bertelsmann from January 1993 to December 1998 and an assistant director of finance for Time Inc. from January 1981 to December 1993.

Hugo Barreca earned a MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. Hugo then went on to get their Doctor of Philosophy in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from The City University of New York. After that, they attended Fordham University School of Law and earned their JD. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy Analysis from The City University of New York.
