Sergio Barberan-Soler

Sergio Barberan-Soler has had a varied career in the biosciences. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Postdoc at CRG Barcelona. From 2013 to 2019, they worked at SomaGenics, Inc. in various roles, including Director of Sequencing Technologies, Senior Scientist, and Scientist. In 2019, they became Chief Executive Officer of RealSeq Biosciences. In 2022, they joined BioTools Innovator as an Accelerator Company.

Sergio Barberan-Soler received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from UNAM in 2001. Sergio then continued their education at UC Santa Cruz, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Molecular Biology in 2005, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2008.
