Behzad Taufiq

Behzad Taufiq is currently a Senior Advisor at Realio, and has previously worked as an analyst for both Valentus Capital Management and Cerberus Capital Management. At Cerberus, they were part of the original residential mortgage credit and trading team, and was responsible for sourcing mortgage fixed-income and whole loan investment opportunities. Behzad also underwrote assets from distressed financial institutions during the Great Financial Crisis.

In London, Behzad served as the liaison between the European PE team and the US Credit teams on the valuation of distressed UK Non-Conforming loans. Behzad was also tasked with working with mathematician and prominent mortgage credit economist Dr. Christopher Cagan to build a proprietary Housing Price Index (HPI) model.

Behzad Taufiq's educational career includes a BA from the University of California, Berkeley in Comparative Literature (French & English), Sciences (Pre-Med), Track & Field (400m) & Football (RB). Behzad also has a BA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application. In addition, they are certified by the California Department of Real Estate as a Real Estate Broker and by the REBNY as a Real Estate Broker.
