John Kay

John Kay is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in organizational design, finance, and social enterprise. As CEO of Realize Solutions since February 2012, John focuses on enhancing people and culture within purpose-driven organizations. John holds key leadership roles including Principal at Hyperion CPA Ltd., Director and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee at BC Tree Fruits Cooperative, CFO and Head of Strategy at 7 Leagues Leather, and Co-Founder of Buy Social Canada. Previously, John co-founded ASH Ltd., served as Executive Director at the Ministry of Advanced Education, and was the founding publisher of The Tyee. Educational qualifications include a CMA in Management Accounting and Strategy, an MBA from Simon Fraser University, and a BA (Honours) in English Literature from Western University.
