Julie Hennessy

Julie Hennessy has a diverse work experience spanning 20 years. Julie is currently working at RealSelf as the Sr. Director of Finance and Accounting. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing financial operations.

Prior to their current position, Julie worked at RealSelf as the Director of Finance and Accounting from 2016 to 2021. During this time, they managed finance and accounting teams, handled budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and presented financial results to the executive team.

Before RealSelf, Julie held the position of Senior Finance Manager at POSSIBLE from 2014 to 2015. In this role, they managed a team and handled various finance activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and revenue accounting.

Julie also gained valuable experience at Microsoft, where they held multiple roles from 2008 to 2013. As a Senior Finance Manager, they were responsible for long-range planning, budgeting, and decision support. Julie also played a key role in the divestiture of the Atlas business.

Additionally, Julie worked as a Senior Revenue Accountant at aQuantive, Inc from 2005 to 2008, where they led a team and focused on billing, revenue recognition, and contract review.

Julie started their career as an Auditor at Deloitte & Touche in 2004 and also had an internship at BDO Seidman, LLP in 2003.
