Tim Penkala, CPA, CFP

Tim Penkala, CPA, CFP has over 40 years of experience in the real estate and financial planning industries. In 1972, they began their career as an Assistant Head Sacristan at Sacred Heart Church in the University of Notre Dame. In 1976, they joined Arthur Young and Company as a Senior Auditor, where they performed audits for small, medium, and large companies, and worked on tax returns for some of their clients. Tim passed the four-part CPA exam in the first attempt, an achievement that only 5% of test takers manage to do.

In 1981, Penkala co-founded and led Crown Summit Financial & Crown Summit Properties, the first real estate investment development and brokerage firm that they were involved in. Theirprimary role was locating residential and commercial real estate properties for purchase, repositioning, and sale, and raising capital from private investors. Tim managed 33 LLCs and Limited Partnership Investments and had nine site managers and nine office staff, including Principals.

In 1990, Penkala worked as a Certified Financial Planner for Mutual Of New York, where they advised clients on mutual funds, estate, and financial planning and created Investment Portfolios in all aspects and all investments, including Real Estate.

In 1991, Penkala co-founded and served as President of Crown Pacific Realty Group, a real estate investment development and brokerage company. Tim was involved in finding high-yielding real estate properties to purchase, reposition, and sell, and was the Principle-in-Charge of raising capital from private investors.

In 2014, Penkala became the Lead Investor and Member of the Founder Group of RealStir, a real estate technology startup and information portal. Tim was originally on the Board of Directors in charge of investor relations and continues to advise the Founder Group as needed.

In 2016, Penkala became the Director, CFO, and Co-Founder of Predictionworks Inc/DBA LabXventures, a Venture Science Company in the predictive analytics space. Tim has been largely in charge of obtaining capital, and helping direct business development.

In 1998, Penkala co-founded Pacific West Realty Group and served as President. Tim led activities for finding high-yielding real estate properties to purchase, reposition, and sell, and was involved as the Principle-in-Charge of raising capital from private investors. They operated over 50+ LLC's and LP's.

Tim Penkala, CPA, CFP has a well-rounded education history. Tim obtained their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame between 1972 and 1976. In 1984, they completed their Certified Financial Planner degree from the College of Financial Planning-Denver. Tim also obtained a Certified Financial Planning Certificate, a Life & Health Insurance License, a Real Estate Broker's License, and a Certified Public Accountant license between 1976 and 2005.
