Mariano Mitelman

Mariano Mitelman has worked in various roles in the legal and compliance sector since 1998. Mariano's most recent role is as Head Legal & Compliance at Rebill (YC W22), a Fintech company, since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Project Manager (NYSE: SQ) at Square, where they were responsible for Legal & Compliance Strategy for Emerging Markets, from 2020 to 2021. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Head of Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs at Prisma Medios de Pago. From 2005 to 2016, they were the Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs & Insurance Holding Manager at Irsa Inversiones y Representaciones S.A., where they were an expert in real estate, corporate & financial law, as well as the insurance industry. From 1998 to 2005, they worked at Abeledo Gottheil Abogados in various roles, including Lawyer and Paralegal. Mariano worked with a variety of clients, including BNP Paribas, Microsoft, Pepsico, Unilever, P&G, Pfizer, Carrefour, Dupont, Wall Mart, Shell, Toyota, Total, and Yamaha. From 2013 to 2020, they were also a Professor of Corporate Law and Commercial Contracts at Universidad de San Andrés.

Mariano Mitelman has a diverse educational background. Mariano holds a Law Degree from the University of Buenos Aires, which they completed in 2001. Mariano then went on to earn a Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Law from the same university in 2005. In 2008-2009, they obtained a Master's Degree in Law and Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In 2018, they completed a Management Executive Program from Universidad de 'San Andrés'\u200b. Finally, in 2019 they earned an Internacional Ethics & Compliance Certificate from Universidad del CEMA.
