Alan Wong

Alan Wong has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Alan is currently employed as a Field Engineer at Reborn Cabinets since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at GROW Design and Development as a Developer from May 2019 to June 2023. Alan also served as a Teaching Assistant at UC Davis Coding Bootcamp from March 2019 to June 2023.

Before their career in the tech industry, Alan worked as a Technocratic Oligarch and Web Developer at Kaiwa Hour (Japanese/English Conversation Hour) since 2016. In this role, they facilitated bilingual exchanges between Japanese exchange students and regular university students by coordinating teams, developing the organization's website, managing social media accounts, organizing meetings and events, and leading conversations.

Alan also has experience in the education sector, having worked as an Associate Instructor at the University of California, Davis in 2018 and as a Teaching Assistant from 2015 to 2018. As a Teaching Assistant, they utilized web programming to enhance students' experiences.

In addition, Alan has previous experience as a Student Technical Lead (ITS) and Daily Trojan Biweekly Editorial Columnist and Illustrator at the University of Southern California, as well as a Secretary at Hope IVF and Fertility Center. Alan also worked as a Private Tutor in Algebra, English, and World History through their self-employed private tutoring business.

Alan Wong received their Master of Arts (MA) in Linguistics from the University of California, Davis, from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy, East Asian Languages & Cultures (with a focus on Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese) from the University of Southern California, completing it from 2010 to 2014.
