Sam Comfort, CPA

Sam Comfort, CPA, has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. In 2017, they interned at Deloitte for four weeks in the tax department, assisting with client returns in the Seattle office and then working in the Hyderabad, India office. In the following year, they became an Intramural Supervisor at Gonzaga University from May 2017 to May 2018. Starting in 2018, Sam joined Deloitte as a Tax Consultant, where they prepared tax-related items for S&P 500 companies, tax returns for VC and private equity funds, and tax returns for local start-up companies. Sam then joined Shelf Engine in 2019, initially as an Accountant, before transitioning to a Senior Accountant role from October 2020 to April 2021. From April 2021 to October 2022, Sam served as an Accounting Manager at Shelf Engine. In 2022, Sam joined Rebuilt as the Controller and Senior FP&A Analyst.

Sam Comfort, CPA, obtained a Master's degree in Taxation from Gonzaga University Graduate School of Business. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Gonzaga University. Additionally, Sam received certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Tennessee in September 2022.
