Joshua Gilpatrick has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Joshua started their career as a Web Developer/Consultant at VanDamme Associates, where they worked on a web commerce framework in C# .NET and later transitioned to client customizations. In 2007, they joined Rochester Institute of Technology as a Graduate Assistant, tutoring students in C++, C#, and Java. In 2008, Joshua worked as a Lead Technical Developer at Ratatoskr, contributing to a game project for XBLA. Joshua then joined Microsoft in 2009, where they served as a Program Manager for XBOX and later as a Senior Developer Lead on Project Spark. In 2015, Joshua joined Google as a Software Development Engineer IV and eventually took on the role of Staff Software Engineer, leading a team of engineers to develop performance and workflow tools for Android Developers. Their most recent position is Principal Software Engineer at Rec Room, starting in 2023.
Joshua Gilpatrick obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information of Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007. Joshua then pursued a Master of Science degree in Game Design and Development from the same institution, which they completed in 2009.
