VP/Head of Impact

After graduating from college in 2006, VP/Head of Impact started their career as an Architect/Consultant at On Command. They then moved to YieldEx where they served as VP of Engineering from 2007 to 2008. In March 2008, they began working at Gorilla Logic as a Principal Software Architect on the Compliance Team. They stayed with Gorilla Logic for over 13 years, until May 2021 when they accepted their current position as VP/Head of Impact at Recapture.

At Gorilla Logic, VP/Head of Impact co-architected the rebuild of the Compliance Team using modern, cloud-based technologies on Kafka and AWS. They also co-led the team to refactor the existing trade processing application to determine trade compliance based on a complex dynamic rule set and custom grammar. The previous system would randomly discard trades or lose information on reboot due to unnecessary caches. After the refactor, 66% of code was removed, transactional processing of messages never lost a single trade, and the system's performance increased by 15%. VP/Head of Impact consistently delivered on JIRAs filed by demanding business customers from the highest volume support queue of the company.
