Controls Engineer at RECARO Automotive

Daniel Carmody's work experience begins in 2016 as an Assistant/Laborer at Balance Corporation, where they worked in a team-based environment to refurbish residential properties for re-sale. From 2018 to 2020, at Oakland University, they served as a Senior Design Project Lead, creating a Cable-Driven Parallel Robot Demonstrator funded by the university, as well as programming a KUKA robot for a chess-playing task. In 2019, Daniel worked at Control System Innovators Corp. as an Electrical/Systems Engineer, providing production support, designing PLC panels, and creating PLC programs for companies like Ford and GM. Starting in 2020, they joined TI Automotive as a Controls Technician, responsible for creating and updating Omron PLC and HMI programs, integrating vision systems and equipment to improve production, inspection, and diagnostics. Currently, in 2022, Daniel is a Controls Engineer at RECARO North America.

Daniel Carmody attended Oakland University from 2014 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
