Andrew Gaidus has a range of experience in data analysis and GIS specialist roles. Andrew started their career at Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies in 2012 as a GIS Analyst. Andrew then moved to the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation in 2013, where they worked as a Research Associate - GIS Specialist until 2017. Andrew joined Metromile in 2017 and held various roles, including Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, and Data Analysis Manager. Andrew worked at Metromile until 2020. Most recently, Andrew has been working at Recidiviz since 2020, starting as a Senior Data Analyst and currently serving as the Data Analysis Manager.

Andrew Gaidus has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Cum Laude, in Environmental Policy and Art History from Williams College, from 2007 to 2011. Andrew then went on to earn a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) with a focus in Policy Analysis from the Yale School of the Environment, from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Gaidus has obtained several certifications. Andrew completed the "SQL Essential Training" from Lynda.com in July 2017. Andrew also completed various courses on data science and machine learning through Coursera, including "Introduction to Data Science in Python," "Machine Learning: Regression," "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach," and "Data Science Specialization" in 2017 and 2016. Gaidus has also obtained certifications for other data science courses on Coursera, including "Data Science Capstone," "Developing Data Products," "Practical Machine Learning," "Regression Models," "Statistical Inference," "Reproducible Research," "Exploratory Data Analysis," "Getting and Cleaning Data," "R Programming," and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" between 2015 and 2016.
