Damini Sharma

Damini Sharma is a Senior Data Analyst at Recidiviz since January 2021, with prior experience as a Data Reporting Fellow at The Marshall Project where data-driven stories on the impact of COVID-19 on prison populations were published in collaboration with The Associated Press. Additional experience includes a Data Science Internship at the Cook County Assessor's Office, where statistical models for property tax assessments were developed, and a Research Assistant role at the University of Chicago's Poverty Lab, where census-tract level datasets for a Universal Basic Income study were created. Damini also served as a Research Fellow at Harvard University, contributing to evaluations of randomized controlled trials and analyses of police data, and worked as an Analyst at Cornerstone Research, focusing on insider trading patterns. Damini holds an MSc in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from the Harris School at the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
