Michael Beard has had a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being the CEO of the Real Estate Council of Ontario since 2017. Prior to that, they were the CEO of their own company from July 2017 to November 2017. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the President and CEO of TSSA, a Delegated Administrative Authority operating independently from the government. Michael also held the position of VP Operations at TSSA from 2010 to 2013. Before TSSA, they were the GM Red Hawk CT at UTC Fire & Security from 2006 to 2010. From 1999 to 2003, they served as the VP & GM at Bell ExpressVu. Michael'searlier work experience includes various roles at Chubb Fire & Security from 1994 to 1999.
Michael Beard attended the University of the Witwatersrand from 1978 to 1983, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Following a gap of several years, from 1990 to 1994, Beard studied at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. During this time, they obtained a Master of Business Leadership degree, specializing in Business Administration.
