Mamta L. is a skilled professional with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and sustainability initiatives. Currently serving as a Program Officer for Landscapes in a Changing Climate at RECOFTC since November 2022, Mamta L. leads efforts on various projects, including the development of a carbon project pipeline and the LandScale assessment of the Sacred Himalayan landscape. Previous roles include serving as a GIS Consultant at the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Fund Development Board in Nepal, where contributions included the establishment of baselines and thematic mapping. Earlier experience as a GIS Intern at Trimax IT Infrastructures & Services Pvt. Ltd. involved risk mapping and critical cartography. Education credentials include a Master of Science in Applied Geographic Information Systems from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Tribhuvan University.
