Clive Dunne MSc has extensive work experience in the military, specifically with the Irish Defence Forces. Clive served as a Private Soldier, where they worked in a team within Weapons and Reconnaissance platoon. During this time, they completed various courses focusing on teamwork, collaboration, and leadership. Clive then advanced to the role of Corporal, where they took on the responsibilities of a Detachment Commander within the Anti-Armour platoon and Reconnaissance Platoon. Clive also served as a Section commander for recruit platoons and was selected to instruct in the Military College Infantry Weapons Wing and 2 Brigade Training Centre. Clive then became a Platoon Sergeant, fulfilling the roles of Platoon Sergeant in the Recce Platoon, Sergeant Instructor in the Military College Cadet School, and NCO responsible for formation health and safety at 2 Brigade Headquarters. Throughout their time as a Sergeant, they completed additional instructor courses and obtained qualifications in Health and Safety. Currently, Clive is the Operations Director at Reconnaissance Group.
Clive Dunne holds an MSc in Criminology from the University of Leicester, which they obtained from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, they have a Level 6 degree in Supervisory Management and Team Leadership from the Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, completed from 2019 to 2020. Clive also received a CPD Certificate in Advanced Fire Safety Manager from Technological University Dublin in 2019, and a QQI Level 8 degree in Occupational Safety and Health from University College Dublin, completed from 2017 to 2019. Furthermore, they received a Higher Certificate in Arts in Military Industry Studies from the Higher Education and Training Awards Council, Ireland, completed from 2002 to 2012. Clive has obtained several other certifications related to specific skills and industries, such as Door Security Procedures (PSA), Guarding Skills (PSA), Abrasive Wheels Instructor, and more.
