Sandra Lawson

Director Of Racial Diversity, Equity And Inclusion at Reconstructing Judaism

Sandra Lawson has a diverse work experience. Currently, they are the Director of Racial Diversity Equity and Inclusion at Reconstructing Judaism, where they develop anti-racist policies and provides trainings. Sandra is also a mentor to rabbinical students. Lawson is the Spiritual Leader and Founder of Kol Hapanim - All Faces, a role they took on in 2021. Sandra is a musician at Rabbi Sandra since 2021. In the past, Lawson worked as a Public Speaker at the American Program Bureau. Sandra was an Associate Chaplain for Jewish Life at Elon University from 2018 to 2021. Lawson has also held adjunct faculty positions at Howard Community College and the Community College of Baltimore County. Sandra worked as an Investigative Researcher at the ANTI-DEFAMATION LEAGUE. Additionally, Lawson was an adjunct professor at Georgia Perimeter College and a research interviewer at Emory University.

Sandra Lawson has a Master of Hebrew Letters and Rabbinic Ordination from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, obtained from 2011 to 2018. Sandra also holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Clark Atlanta University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Leo University. Additionally, Sandra has recently obtained a certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership: Strategies for Organizational Success from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in 2023.
