Julian Kanitz

Julian Kanitz's work experience begins with their role as a Lead Sales Engineer DACH at Recorded Future, where they combine data collection and analytics with human analysis to deliver timely and actionable intelligence for enterprise security. Prior to this, they were a Member at PreSales Collective, an organization focused on elevating the role of PreSales professionals worldwide. Before that, Julian worked at Blueliv as a Global Senior Sales Engineer and Sales Engineer DACH, providing threat intelligence solutions and managing digital risk. Julian also held positions at Myra Security GmbH, where they worked as a Solution Engineer and in Sales/Key Account Management for cyber security. Finally, Julian served as a Zeitsoldat (professional soldier) in the Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces) from 2007 to 2019.

Julian Kanitz completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Industrial Engineering from the same institution between 2014 and 2018. Before pursuing higher education, Julian attended AERO Bildungs GmbH from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a degree in Fluggerätmechaniker FR Instandhaltungstechnik.

In addition to their formal education, Julian has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they received the certification of QUALIFIED NEGOTIATOR® from the Schranner Negotiation Institute. Previous to that, in 2017, Julian obtained the qualification of Qualitätsbeauftragte/r (TÜV) from TÜV Rheinland Group. In 2019, they completed the Cyber Attack Countermeasures certification from New York University. More recently, in 2022, Julian acquired the certifications of Demo2Win! Certified from 2Win!, Recorded Future Certified Analyst from Recorded Future, and Communicating with Confidence from LinkedIn.
