Sushil Rana

Sushil Rana has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Sushil started their career in 2002 as an R&D Engineer at Recorders & Medicare Systems (P) Ltd. During this role, they gained knowledge of portable ECG systems and was responsible for designing hardware and firmware for these devices.

In 2006, Sushil Rana advanced to the position of Vice President (R&D) at the same company. In this role, they showcased their managerial and leadership skills by directly managing people and leading teams and projects. Sushil worked on the end-to-end product lifecycle of complex medical devices, which included software, firmware, and hardware components. Sushil also had experience in contract development and vendor management, engaging with medical device OEMs from different cultures, and establishing new business relationships. Additionally, they had cross-functional roles in embedded systems design, implementation, verification, and validation. Sushil was also familiar with regulatory and compliance requirements in the medical device industry, including ISO certifications and CE marking. Sushil had a global perspective with travel experience to China, the USA, Africa, and Southeast Asian countries. Moreover, Sushil performed dual roles in technical management and business development at the company.

Sushil Rana completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University from 1997 to 2001. Sushil then pursued a Diploma in Embedded Systems at United Technologies Ltd. from 2005 to 2006. Following this, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) with a focus on Operations Management from Symbiosis Pune, India from 2010 to 2012.
